The Trust is establishing a workshop and museum at the Ribble Steam Railway in Preston. It is envisaged that this will become the centre of the FRT operation, restoring and overhauling our collection, which will then be made available to hire, sometimes to the RSR, sometimes to heritage railways up and down the country.
FR Number 20 is currently hired to Locomotion, the National Railway Museum at Shildon. Next stop is the Great Central Railway in late May.
5643 is currently on short term hire to the Ribble Steam Railway until after Easter 2010 and is on longer hire to the Llangollen Railway, with a two gala short term hire to the Midland Railway - Butterley in early May.
"Cumbria" is currently on short term hire to the Ribble Steam Railway and will be on 12 month hire to the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Railway from Spring 2010.
"Fluff" is on static hire to Vintage Vehicles Shildon - near Locomotion.
The North London Railway 2nd class coach is on hire to the National Railway Museum, York.
The LMS Brake van is on hire to the Rutland Railway Museum.
Barrow Hill Britian's last remaining operational steam locomotive roundhouse, host of FR Number 20 in April 2001.
Beamish North of England open air museum hosted FR Number 20 in September 2008; 20 is due to return summer 2010.
