THE LAKESIDE RAILWAY SOCIETY

The Lakeside Railway Society (Furness Branch)

The branch meets during the winter months in Ulverston, the nearest town to the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, the home of the LRS.

Talks only take place in the winter months, because there is a great social activity going on in the summer at Haverthwaite, as LRS members help run the L&HR! If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, the first step is to apply for LRS membership, and the Membership Secretary will send you details of how you can become an active volunteer.

Friday 13th November 2009 at the Kings Arms, King Street in Ulverston, starting 8pm.

Paul Bigland, professional railway photographer and journalist, gives the autumn talk to the Furness Branch meeting.

Paul is a former LRS Volunteer, and has since built a national reputation for his work which is often published.

The meeting is open to all. Admission is free but there will be a retiring collection to cover costs.
