Martin Baxter sings and plays keyboard, flute and clarinet. Martin started playing with the band after joining the Furness Railway Trust to help with restoration work.A music teacher, Martin has played for many bands and orchestras during his career. He lives in Ulverston, where he is also an active member of the Ulverston Outsiders Amateur Dramatic Society. |

Stuart Bennett sings and plays guitar. A stalwart of the local Furness folk scene for many years, Stuart was invited to join Live Steam in order to add balance to the musical arrangements and depth to the band's vocals. Stuart also lives in Ulverston. He is an environmental technician and is a committee member of Ulverston Heritage Centre, which has provided a museum in the town. |

George Fletcher plays violin/fiddle. George is a long serving member of the Furness Railway Trust and carriage maintenance expert. Originally hailing from Grange-over-Sands, George now lives in Derby where he works for a railway engineering company. This makes it difficult for him to play in every gig, but he is still an occasional performer with the band. He also plays for three orchestras and enjoys bell ringing. |

Alan Middleton sings and plays ukulele banjo. Alan is a founder member of Live Steam, who has returned to the line up recently after a seven year break. Now chairman of the Lakeside Railway Society, Alan plays the ukulele banjo and sometimes includes a song from George Formby's repertoire. |

Tim Owen sings and plays the accordion and bodhran. A founder member of Live Steam, he is Chairman of the Furness Railway Trust.A qualified management accountant, living in Cark-in-Cartmel, Tim now spends much of his time on railway preservation work and the associated fund-raising activities. |

Gary Weldon sings and plays bass guitar. He has been a member of the Lakeside Railway Society for over 25 years and has been playing with Live Steam since 1986. Gary lives at Haverthwaite and works as a maintenance engineer for a company in nearby Kendal. He is a Driver on the L&HR. He is also an active member of the Ulverston Outsiders Amateur Dramatic Society. |
